Facing the future

At Zoho, we believe that economic success shouldn't be limited to big companies or people living in big cities. This month we're sharing some pieces that'll give you a glimpse into our vision going forward, as well as how our history has set us up to face the future. You'll get those pieces below, as well as product updates and resources. Enjoy!

Beyond anniversaries

Last month we featured our 25-year anniversary site, but that's not all that can be said about where we came from, where we are, and where we're heading. This month we wanted to share a few articles that focus on our company's scope, but before getting there, Sridhar wrote a fun blog post about the early days of Zoho Corp., some of the hijinks involved when he first got his start with the company, and how he became the CEO.

25 years

Where we've been

Recently we've been reading analysts' reactions to ZohoDay 2021. Although our annual analyst meeting happened almost two months ago, a couple of write-ups caught our attention. This piece by Diginomica derides the typical virtual enterprise event and touches on the ways in which ZohoDay got it right. Likewise, "Outlaw Spirit – Lessons from The Zoho Analyst Day 2021" provides some examples on how we worked to make this event both informative and entertaining.

Shaping success

With 25 years of business behind us, we have our eyes firmly set on the next 25 years. The way we see it, there are three main areas for us to work on right now to shape a successful future for ourselves and the communities we serve:

  • Enabling transnational localism and self-reliant regional economies
  • Knitting a distributed workforce together with remote work tools and strong culture
  • De-layering the tech stack

Our vision is to achieve sustainable capitalism, as described by our Chief Evangelist, Raju Vegesna. Another way to say it is “Zohonomics," a sustainable form of capitalism that stresses the importance of recognizing talent in existing communities and bringing opportunities and investments to them. Our hope is that when we turn 50 we can look back at the groundwork we're building now and see that it laid a path to follow for businesses across the world.

What's new

There's always something being cooked up by our engineers—whether it's enhancements, additional features, or new products altogether—so it's sometimes easy to miss releases. This past month includes some integrations and iOS updates to a couple of apps, as well as an entirely new offering.

Zoho DataPrep

We've launched the public beta for Zoho DataPrep—advanced self-service data preparation software that helps connect, cleanse, transform, and enrich your data for downstream analytics and warehousing. Watch this video to get an overview, or contact to set up a personalized demo.

Zoho Cliq

Notice some changes to Zoho Cliq's navigation sidebar? We hope this rework makes the interface easier to navigate and streamlines access to all your existing conversations, call logs, files, and more.

Zoho Sheet

Zoho Sheet's apps for iOS and iPadOS have received major updates, including the introduction of a predefined template gallery, integrations with Dropbox and Box, and a completely revamped UI for the iOS app.

Zoho Inventory

With the new Zoho Inventory and Google Shopping integration, you can now sync and list your products freely on the Google Shopping platform. This integration also helps you run budgeted ad campaigns across multiple Google platforms, all from Zoho Inventory.

Zoho Backstage

Zoho Backstage had a handful of recent updates, including an integration with Zoom, enhanced session management, and improvements and a makeover for Backstage OnAir–the virtual events module.

Zoho PageSense

Zoho PageSense introduced web analytics, a set of data-rich features that provide a unified picture of all the key performance indicators (KPIs) needed to measure your marketing activities and your website’s effectiveness.

Zoho Show

The Zoho Show iOS app received a redesign to give you the ultimate presentation creation experience. This update includes a new UI, a review tab for collaboration, and more. Zoho Show now also integrates with Zoho Sprints, allowing you to gather project insights through visually compelling reports.

Zoho Vault

Zoho Vault's browser extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox both received reworks. The extensions work a lot faster now, and offer enhanced password autofill. This recent update is packed with features that make password management easier.

Zoho Recruit

Zoho Recruit received a few integrations recently. With the HackerRank integration, recruiters and hiring managers can invite candidates to take assessment tests and review them directly from Zoho Recruit. Apply with SEEK delivers an improved candidate experience by prefilling parts of a candidate's application on a form hosted by Zoho Recruit, as well as attaching their stored CV. Finally, the integration with SkillSurvey helps you optimize your reference check process to suit your modern hiring strategy.
