An action-packed year

There is nothing more powerful than a sense of community. It is a space where energies meet, strong relationships are built, and people commit to improving while helping others become the best versions of themselves.

For Zoho Campaigns, 2019 was all about building meaningful relationships with our customers. All our feature releases and events were centered around your needs.

In addition to our community meetups and Ask the Expert sessions, the places we usually get to interact with our customers, we also focused on connecting with you through various social media channels.

Let's take a walk down memory lane to see how we performed in 2019.

All things new

Integration

2019 was the year of integrations. Zoho Campaigns announced integrations with top brands like HubSpot, Salesforce, MS Dynamics 365, and SugarCRM. We also integrated with Zoom, Zoho Meeting, and Zapier.

Automated workflows

Our most important launch of 2019 was the drag-and-drop email workflows to make your automation process easier. This new feature helps you engage your leads and customers with well-timed, personalized, and targeted emails. We also introduced a solution called Ecommerce that lets you connect your store completely with Campaigns and maximize the new workflows.

SMS campaigns

With our SMS Campaigns feature, you can reach a larger group of people at once by sending bulk SMS messages. This is made possible using your account's integration with SMS Gateways like Twilio, Clickatell, MessageMedia, MessageBird, SMS-Magic, BulkSMS, MiSMS, MSG91, nEXMO, and BurstSMS.

Ecommerce

Email marketing and ecommerce work in tandem. To make this process easy, we introduced many ecommerce-centric updates in 2019. You can now connect your Zoho Campaigns account with your Zoho Commerce, Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce and send timely, data-driven, and behavior-targeted emails.

Smart email marketing

Zoho Campaigns has resources that make your emails “smart,” which simply means your email campaign is highly effective without requiring much effort. Features such as A/B testing, send-time optimisation, batch sends, list segmentation, dynamic content, and automatic handling of bounces help you send smart emails.

Building a strong community

Expert diaries

We invited industry experts who have spent considerable time sending marketing emails to share their insights in this series. They helped us understand how to use the power of design, content, and personalisation to send effective campaigns.

Ask the experts and Twitter chat

Be it an elaborate discussion on automation and drip marketing with in-house experts or industry experts chatting live on Twitter about email marketing in the digital age, we sought to address all your concerns in real-time.

Meetups and events

We look forward to these events as they allow us to meet our customers and email geeks around the world. This year we had meetups and other events organized around the world, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and India. We cannot thank you enough for making them a success.

Always happy to help

50 tips and counting

We frequently roll out tips for the benefits of our customers. This year we published our 50th tip. These tips are easy, one-minute reads that give you crisp information on email marketing trends and hacks.

Helping small businesses

Our product is designed to make life simpler for all small business owners. The starter kit we provide is designed to help you quickly get up and running with email marketing.

Follow us on social media

We wanted to understand your needs better by making ourselves more accessible. Our social media channels—LinkedInTwitter and Quora—are meant not just for product updates, but also to discuss email marketing trends and answer your queries

What to expect in 2020?

Marketing pundits say we'll move towards optimizing for mobile as well as even prioritizing it as we head into 2020.

Also, though important, email marketing is only one of many ways to connect with customers. Every channel must be used effectively to complement the marketing strategy, and this has to be seamless. People should be able to move from email to website to social and back to email with ease.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will also play important roles in 2020 as their use will help deliver stellar experiences to customers.

Other trends to look out for are:

  • User-generated content
  • Responsive interactivity
  • Animated buttons and calls-to-action
  • More personal ecommerce email marketing
As far as Zoho Campaigns goes, we promise an exciting 2020 with features and updates that will make your email marketing experience both easy and fun.

Regards,

Team Zoho Campaigns
